Help Chevrolet In The Fight To End Breast Cancer

For anyone who asks “Are we there yet?” The answer is “almost.” For a third year in a row, Chevrolet is teaming up with the American Cancer Society to take a stand against breast cancer through early detection, protection and awareness. You can also do your part by taking steps to join them in the fight.

More Hope Per Gallon

On October 5, October 19, November 2, and November 16, you can take a test drive at your Chevrolet dealership and Chevrolet will contribute $10 for every drive to the American Cancer Society. Chevrolet will also be sponsoring a NASCAR pace car for lap donations at racing events.

Service for Strides

Bring your vehicle in for a Chevrolet Certified Service in October or November, opt to contribute your eligible servicerebate, and Chevrolet will match your contribution. It’s as simple as doing the following:

1. Visit a participating Chevy dealer in the month of October or November and choose a brake pad installation or an oil change with 4-tire rotation and 27-point inspection from Chevrolet Certified Service.

2. Contribute all or part of your eligible rebate to support the fight against breast cancer when you fill out your rebate form from your dealer or by visiting mycertifiedservicerebates.com (faster payment).

3. Mail a copy of your repair order with either your printed online confirmation page or your completed rebate form from your dealer.

Meet Allison!

Allison Richards Bowman ChevyAllison Richards is one of our new car salespeople and a fun addition to our Bowman team. Allison joined the Bowman team in October of 2010 and finds that selling cars gives her a “platform for which to serve people.” Allison is a unique soul who speaks fluent Spanish, loves to sing, travels internationally… and, in her “spare time” does mission work, photography and is the maid of honor in her sister’s upcoming wedding. Alison’s desk is decorated with Thank You letters and pictures from her life as well as fun books like her antique “Yuppie Handbook.”

When you sit down with Allison her true nature shows and it isn’t hard to see that she sets people at ease. In her job at Bowman, Allison enjoys meeting folks from all walks of life and especially enjoys helping first time buyers and people with disabilities. She believes her background and education in counseling helps her to use active listening skills and understand what her customers truly want and need when purchasing a vehicle.

One of Allison’s favorite things about being a salesperson is that she gets to meet new people every day. She knows that their experience is not about her; it is about them so she works hard on her customers’ behalf. Allison has developed quite a knowledge of the auto industry and is proud of Bowman Chevrolet specifically, but also GM as a brand and Detroit as a city for making the auto industry a place that can not only survive, but come back thriving.

Allison came to Bowman on a recommendation from her pastor who knew Bowman was looking to hire a bilingual salesperson. Growing up around the corner, Allison never thought she would be working at Bowman Chevrolet, but after her interview she found herself a member of the team. After her training, Allison called a friend and practiced her skills on him, which turned into her first sale. Now, almost three years later, Allison has found a home with Bowman.

Bowman ChevyBowman Chevrolet is proud to announce we expanded! Randy Hosler Buick GMC closed the end of April 2013. We were happy to hire many of those employees at Bowman in our main office, body shop and service department. We were also lucky to acquire the Randy Hosler building and open a new Clarkston used car sales and service dealership called:  .

We would like to officially welcome some of the Hosler Buick GMC familiar faces that are now at Bowman Chevrolet:

Service Button LinkedInBarb Jockwig, a Randy Hosler employee for 13 years, joined our office team as a biller. Her experience at Hosler made an easy transition into our team, and she has been welcomed to our busy hub with open arms.

Larry Szulborski spent a few months at Hosler before they announced their closing, and we were happy to offer him a position as our Body Shop manager at both our Bowman and Sellers Renew locations. With 17 years of experience in the industry, Larry is sure to be a viable asset to our organization.

Our service department was rewarded threefold, bringing in three new ASE Master Certified technicians ready to help you.

Tim Mars started as a porter at Randy Hosler in 2001. He received an Associates in Applied Science from Ferris State University and became a Master Certified technician and moved his way up the service ladder. Mars’ strive for excellence is apparent and Bowman Chevrolet is proud to now have him as a part of our team.

Tommie Knight has been in the business for over 30 years. As a Master Certified ASE technician, he has a lot of knowledge and experience to offer you in our service department. Knight was with Hosler for 8 years and his service experience has been a wonderful addition to our Bowman team.

Steve Sweetman was with the Hosler team for 17 years and is a Master Certified Technician and an Advanced Level Specialist. With 26 years of experience and advanced technical knowledge, Sweetman and his big blue toolbox have brought a smile to our face and a welcome addition to our team.
